This 1996 Ford F150 XL is and exceptionally nice OBS Regular Cab
Short Box pickup. This truck spent its life in Oregon and Idaho so
it is a solid, extra clean, and rust free truck. It has been very
well cared for and it is a really cool configuration: Short Box,
Manual Transmission, and 6 Cylinder 300 I6 engine. The body on this
F150 is clean and straight! The Oxford White paint appears to be
original and still looks excellent. The front bumper, headlights,
grille, and headlight surrounds were all replaced to give it a
really fresh look. The rest of the chrome and trim is original and
nice. The underside is super clean and still has the original
primer on the floors. We found no rust issues with this truck.
The interior is also in excellent condition. The seat, rubber floor
mat, headliner, door panels, dash and dash bezel are all excellent.
The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. The gauges all work. The horn and windshield wipers work.
The heat and AC are also working. A beautiful original
interior.
Mechanically this truck is excellent! It has the original 300
Inline 6 (4.9L) that runs strong and smooth with no issues or red
flags that we found. The engine is totally stock with the exception
of added 3 Inch Cat Back exhaust that was added to give it a nice
throaty sound. The transmission is the M50D 5 speed manual that
shifts great with a strong clutch. It is mated to the Borg Warner
Manual Transfer Case and the 4WD works like it should. The rear
axle is a Ford 8.8 with 3.55 gears. The front axle is a Dana 44 TTB
with 3.55 gears. It has a 2 Inch Rough Country Lift that gives a
nice stance. It is sitting on some aftermarket aluminum wheels with
BFG mud Terrain tires size 265/75/16.
