The Advance-Design is a light and medium duty truck series by
Chevrolet, which was their first major redesign after WWII had
ended. This redesign helped GM and Chevrolet to be number one in
sales in the US from 1947 through 1955. During this time, slight
changes were made to the trucks like the gasoline filler neck being
moved, column shift vs. floor shift, door handles and some engine
changes but the overall design was the same. This particular 3100
has been used and has all the right patina. It is extremely solid
and shows no major rust or rot. The truck fires right up and goes
down the road quite nicely. The transmission feels good as do the
brakes. If you are looking for safety and comforts, you should move
on. What you see is what you get with this little gem, but if you
are looking to get in to the collector car hobby then you might
want to take a second look. We welcome any and all questions and
inspections of the vehicle.
