Supported by Numerous History, Servicing and Invoices from 2004-Present in Large Dossier

RUF was commissioned by a close acquaintance of the company to enhance the Carrera's matching-numbers 3.2L engine to 3.4 liters, along with all other classic tuning measures that lead to healthy improved performance. It is believed that only 12 3.4L engine upgrades were done by RUF. The complete drive train was disassembled, revised and fitted with new parts, forged MAHLE pistons, camshafts, valves and machined crankshaft. Likewise, all auxiliary accessories were also renewed or overhauled, such as the injection system, clutch and gearbox. Exhaust is released through a Fabspeed Sport Catalytic Converter, paired to a SCART Riva Muffler. The cars computer ECU was also updated by RUF.

Upon delivery back to the USA the previous owner, a Porsche enthusiast fastidiously serviced, detailed and prepared the Carrera to "top notch" condition and service records are organized in a large binder.

In 2025 the Carrera was fitted with a Classic Retrofit Electric Air Conditioning System, and a service performed by DriverSource in Houston.
