***Vehicle Located in MA - Take a look at this beautiful 1970
Chevrolet Corvette LT1 Coupe brought to you by Zoom Classic Cars.
Owned for the last 35 years by a lifelong mechanic, race engine
builder and Corvette enthusiast, this T-Top Vette features the
original LT1 high performance package with 350CI/370HP, engine Code
CTK, coupled with a 4 speed M-21 close ratio transmission. Numbers
on the engine block were machined off over 30 years ago but there
are codes on the back of the engine which indicate it being an LT1.
Block Casting Date is F30 - June 3, 1970. Build Date July 16, 1970.
Owner/Professional Race Engine builder decked the block himself
(when numbers on the block really didn't mean much) to cut the
block to zero so that the deck would be at the same height as the
pistons, each combustion chamber identical to get the maximum
performance out of the engine. Engine was balanced and blueprinted.
Brand new clutch installed in early 2022. Optional front and rear
sway bars for better handling and 75,600 original miles. Very
desirable Bridgehampton Blue color was repainted 35 years ago and
with the exception of some very minor nicks & scratches as shown
looks remarkable. Original glass all around in great condition. All
original interior with Black leather seats that show some wear but
are in good condition with no rips or tears. Full instrument gauges
including tach and clock, tilt wheel and factory AM/FM radio.
Factory LT-1 Door panels with wood trim and carpeting. The owner
has made some minor modifications to improve the ride and swapped
out the 4.11 rear-end for a smoother driving 3.55 rear-end. He has
the original rear-end and it will go with the sale. Bilstein shocks
smooth out the ride further. The owner also liked the look of the
L88 hood so he replaced the original hood but kept it and had it
painted at the same time as the car repaint 35 years ago so new
owner can re-install if desired. This Corvette is not a trailer
queen but an excellent driver and absolutely everything works on
the car, all gauges, vacuum headlights, wipers as they should.
Clean undercarriage with dual exhaust that sounds great. Optional
factory chrome luggage rack in excellent condition. Car rides on
newer BF Goodrich Radial TAs mounted on the original corvette rally
wheels. Car is stored in MA and comes with car cover. See the LT-1
feature article in the Corvette Magazine April 2025 Edition
attached. If you are looking for 70 Vette in outstanding mechanical
condition that looks great and drives 100%, then give Jeff a call
to arrange a viewing to see this fantastic vehicle. Price Improved!
