Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to bring to market this 1950 Cadillac
Series 62. This 1950 Cadillac is a true survivor. It has never been
restored, repainted, or modified in any manner and thus remains in
an original configuration with all numbers matching according to
the selling owner. With only 27,249 miles on the odometer, it
presents itself well.
Equipped with Cadillac's famed dark blue 331ci V8, with a single
carburetor, all 160 horsepower is routed to the rear wheels through
a 4-speed Hydramatic automatic transmission.
The vehicle is finished in a luxurious Lynton Green Poly exterior
and along with its stately gray cloth interior and massive chrome
bumpers, showcases GM designer Harley Earl's genius with 1950s
style. The whitewalls are 4.25" wide and complemented by the
desirable "sombrero" style dished wheel covers.
Being an all original car, this Cadillac still retains its six volt
electrical system, functional hydraulically operated windows and
front seat, along with a signal seeking AM radio with vacuum
operated antenna.
Pop the trunk and you will find the original jack (still in its
factory cardboard box) along with the original spare tire. Even a
factory wooden wheel chock is included. The original owner's manual
and warranty certificate accompany the vehicle, with the original
owner's name still present on the documentation.
The motor fires right up without hesitation and quickly settles
into an exceptionally smooth idle. This example really showcases
when Cadillac was "the standard of the world."
