Vehicle Description
- Azzurro Agano-Celeste with Blue Leather/Grey Cloth upholstery,
Grey carpeting, Black rubber floor coverings, 2.5 Liter V6 engine,
4-Speed manual gearbox, Fully restored.
This Coveted factory left-hand drive Aurelia B20 'S' GT Series VI,
the final and most refined iteration, has all the various upgrades
implemented over the preceding series, including a 2.5-liter V6
engine with 112 horsepower, a more robust, split-case transaxle, a
de Dion rear suspension, a more favorable seating position, side
vent windows, and Jaeger instrumentation.
It is believed this Lancia resided in the United States since new
having enjoyed ownership by a Rhode Island resident during the
early 1960s followed later in its lifetime by ownership in New
Jersey. By the close of the 1970s, it is believed that the car was
parked in a barn in Media, Pennsylvania where it would remain for
approximately 35 years.
In 2013, the Aurelia was discovered and extracted from the barn by
a European collector in completely unrestored 'barn-find'
condition. Much of its interior was sheltered from the elements and
remained intact, particularly its Nardi wood-trimmed steering
wheel, blue leather door panels, and Jaeger gauges. The Aurelia's
body panels and major mechanical components, including its alloy V6
engine, four-speed transaxle, and de Dion rear suspension, also
remained correct and complete.
This B20S GT was sold to a new owner in 2014, and its restoration
soon followed. Restored in factory Azzurro Agano-Celeste (light
blue) its condition was and still is outstanding today in
absolutely every way. The mechanical components were overhauled and
the no-expense-spared, multi-year restoration concluded in 2020. It
was then sold at auction and today offered from its most recent
collector ownership.
Eligible for the most prestigious touring events worldwide
including the famed Mille Miglia, this is an excellent opportunity
to purchase an exquisite example of a very sought after Lancia B20S
GT Coupe.
