1971 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS 396 VINTAGE A/C, 4 SPEED This Chevelle
has some very desirable features on its clean original body.
Looking down both sides, it is very straight. It wears a factory
color, Cranberry Red, accented with Tuxedo Black SS stripes and
factory hood pins. The front and rear bumpers have been rechromed.
The emblems, headlight bezels, windshield and rear window moldings
are like new. It rides on a set of 15x7 factory style 5 spoke SS
wheels wrapped in BFG T/A radial tires. It is powered by a
period-correct 396 ci motor bearing casting number 3999290 that has
been completely rebuilt. It has a nice choppy idle. It features
factory chrome valve covers, factory style air cleaner, power
steering and a 4-core aluminum radiator with factory fan shroud. It
still retains its factory exhaust manifolds. Vintage A/C has been
added for those hot summer days. The engine bay has a nice satin
black finish. The interior has been redone from the carpet to the
headliner, including new seat upholstery and cushions. It features
bucket seats with factory console and horse shoe shifter, factory
tach and gauges, retro AM/FM radio, three spoke Sure Grip steering
wheel on a tilt steering column, optional front and rear seat belts
and the very desirable factory tach and gauges. The undercarriage
is all clean metal and original. The bottom of the motor is clean
as well as the Turbo 400 3 speed automatic transmission. It has
power front disc brakes. It also has a dual exhaust system with
FlowFX Flowmaster mufflers and stock tailpipes running out the back
with the correct cowbell tips. It features a 12 bolt rear end with
3:31 gears and F41 suspension. The E-brake assembly is all hooked
up and working. The trunk is all clean original metal. It has a
light coat of trunk splatter paint, spare tire, trunk mat and new
weather stripping. This Chevelle SS performs out of this world! It
