Expertly modified with a 1957 F-100 front end, this 1958 Ford F-100
Restomod radiates in bright red paint that brings its
custom-fabricated body to life. Six years of meticulous custom
metal work by Terry Palmer gave this truck its squared-off rear
with molded LED taillights and flush-mounted tailgate and bumper.
The stance is aggressive thanks to Jaguar independent suspension
with Ridetech components. Custom 16" wheels designed to mimic
classic Pontiac 8-lug wheels roll on 195/55R15 front and 255/70R16
rear tires, creating a perfect balance of vintage aesthetic and
modern handling.
The tan interior features '65 T-Bird leather bucket seats that
offer comfort for extended drives. A custom console stretches from
front to back, housing the shifter, transmission controller, dual
power plugs, and cupholders. The brushed black aluminum dash holds
Auto Meter gauges displaying all vital information, while a Pioneer
head unit provides entertainment through strategically placed
speakers. Custom door panels, headliner, and sun visors all trimmed
in matching tan vinyl create a cohesive look. The carpeted bed area
under the paint-matched tonneau cover cleverly conceals the battery
installation.
A 4.6L SOHC V8 engine from a 2008 Mustang GT sits at the core,
upgraded with Ford Racing cams and Ford Performance intake manifold
and throttle body. A boxed cold air intake improves breathing,
while custom stainless steel long-tube headers feed into a dual
exhaust system with FlowFX mufflers and manual cutouts. Power
transfers through a 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission with
programmable electronic controller to the Jaguar independent rear
suspension. Wilwood disc brakes up front and Jaguar inboard discs
in the rear deliver impressive stopping power.
