The car left the factory finished in Colonial Yellow (Code 54) and
is sporting its original paint in 9 out of 10 condition 47 years
later.
Details include a power-operated Astroroof, an Elk Grain
vinyl-padded roof with Opera Lamps, black pinstripes, a power
antenna, a remote-controlled left mirror, chrome bumpers, and
stainless-steel accent moldings.
This 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz is powered by a 425ci V8
paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.
Transmission was rebuilt in 2024 with less than 100 miles
driven.
Finished in Colonial Yellow over Antique Light Yellow Sierra Grain
leather, the car is equipped with a power-operated Astroroof, a
yellow vinyl landau roof covering, 15? steel wheels, body-color
wheel covers, and four-wheel disc brakes. The cabin is outfitted
with an AM/FM stereo with a working eight-track cassette player as
well as cruise control, automatic climate control, power windows,
and 6 way power-adjustable front bench.
The 15? steel wheels feature body-color covers and are mounted with
fat 5 inch Good Year custom super cushion white wall tires.
A full-size spare is located in the trunk. Stopping power is
provided by disc brakes at all four corners. The Eldorado featured
a torsion bar front suspension and a coil-sprung solid rear axle
along with Electronic Level Control and power steering.
The cabin features a power-adjustable front bench trimmed in
Antique Light Yellow Sierra Grain leather joined by matching door
panels.
Front seats are in very nice condition with normal light wear on

Woodgrain synthetic trim adorns the dashboard and upper door panels
and equipment includes an AM/FM stereo with an eight-track cassette
player as well as a rear window defroster, automatic climate
control, cruise control, Cadillac-branded floor mats, and power
windows and door locks. Ice cold air conditioning and heat all work
as designed.
The Eldorado stretched 224 inches in length and almost 80 inches in
width. The base coupe's weight was 4,905 pounds.
Total 1978 Eldorado production was 46,816 cars manufactured.
The 1978 Eldorado was the last year for the front-wheel drive
Eldorado.
