Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera
Targa. Finished in the attractive shade of Schieferblau Metallic,
this Targa was sold new in El Paso, Texas, and has lived in Georgia
since 1990. Known history and service records to new, with a grand
total of five owners over 41 years. The present owner bought this
car from his next-door neighbor in 2013, who owned it since 1998.
Clean CarFax with no reported accidents. Paint meters as original
except for hood, right door and engine lid.
It has been driven sparingly and enjoyed as a nice-weather weekend
driver for the last two decades. Cosmetically, this car could use
some TLC but it runs and drives well and would make an excellent
price-point driver as is. Or, since the bones are good, it could be
a great candidate for a light cosmetic refresh to take it to the
next level. 17-inch Euromeister Fuchs-style alloy wheels are
wearing nice Michelin tires (the tires have plenty of tread
remaining but are from 2013). Excellent underside with no known
rust.
The 3.2 liter flat 6 has been upgraded with a Steve Wong chip and a
cat bypass, and it feels stronger than any we've driven in recent
memory. Recent service in preparation of the sale includes an oil
change, plus new air filter and fuel filter. A major tune-up was
accomplished in 2017, and a clutch in 2015 (fewer than 2,000 miles
ago).
Included with the sale are the original books (both the owner's
manual and stamped service book), maintenance records, air pump,
factory tools, spare and jack. For more information about this 1984
Porsche 911 Carrera Targa for sale at Motorcar Studio in Savannah,
