1935 Bentley 3.5 Liter Pard Ward Saloon- B60FB Scottish Show Car
Award Winner Two families from new 44,000 miles High speed rear end
Clutch Rebuilt by Tim Jayne with Kevlar Lining This is out of our
personal collection. Since 1935, this 1935 Bentley 3.5-liter Sports
Saloon by Park Ward has been owned by only two families before me
and has accumulated a fully documented 44,000 miles from new. And
according to the factory documents, she was built to be the 1935
Scottish Show Car. The first owner was Lt. Col. J.H. Courage, who
was perhaps best known for being the proprietor of a well-known
British brewery and who resided in a sprawling mansion known as
Kirby Fleethom Hall in Northhallerton, UK. Col. Courage took
delivery of the Bentley on November 29, 1935. The second owner was
his nephew, Mr. Charles Ashby who acquired her in 1962. She was
last registered in 1967 and had accumulated 18,000 miles. By 1975,
B60FB was bought by its third owner, Ray Huffman from Shawnee, KS.
She still wore her original UK plates that she bares today, SN
7015. Ray was a wonderful caretaker for her, participating in
numerous tours and shows. He maintained and improved the Bentley
throughout his ownership of over 30 years. During those three
decades, he had added 25,450 miles, logging every service in detail
in a small notebook. This notebook is incredibly valuable as a
reference to its history. In September of 1998, the rear end was
sent to Fiennes to be completely rebuilt along with being upgraded
to a high-speed rear end gearing. They installed a 3.64:1 ratio
providing about a 13ncrease in speed over the standard gearing.
This was a $9,350 investment in 1998! In addition, we installed a
full set of new Stahl radial tires. After Rays passing, B60FB was
inherited by Rays son, Ron Huffman, MD. Unfortunately, Ron passed
shortly after his fathers passing and I ultimately acquired it from
his widow. The connection was made through Simon Curzon of Zenith
Motor Company, who helped prep the Bentley for sale. Today, B60FB
just passed 44,000 miles and we have had an opportunity to make
many cosmetic and mechanical improvements. In 2020, B60FB was
awarded Best in Class at the RROC Annual Meeting in San Diego and
has participated in numerous tours. In August 2025, the clutch was
completely rebuilt by Tim Jayne with a Kevlar-enhanced lining,
addressing the only true Achilles heel of the 3.5L Bentley. The
work totaled $9,000. B60FB comes complete with the original UK
registration card, complete historical documentation, 50 years of
service information, tools, Owners Handbooks, car cover and much
more. For more information and details, please call or text Kendi
