This 1973 Jeep CJ-5 is a really cool, very clean, all steel Jeep
that spent its life in California. This jeep has had quite a bit of
work done to it and is a blast to drive. The body on this CJ is
clean and the it was repainted in its current green color around 3
years ago. The paint still looks great! It has a BestTop Soft Top
and Doors that are in great shape. It has aftermarket front and
rear bumpers. The front bumper has a 4500 pound Warn Winch. The
underside of this Jeep is also really clean as you would expect for
a California vehicle. We found evidence of rust or rust repair.
The interior is your basic Jeep interior and nice. It has a really
nice set of Corbeau reclining bucket seats with a matching rear
seat. It also has a really nice, large Tuffy locking center
console. This Jeep has the factory roll bar with added 3 point seat
belts in the front. When the Jeep was repainted they had the floor
beelined which is a great addition. The headlights, taillights,
brake lights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all
work. The horn, windshield wipers, and heat also work.
Mechanically this Jeep is great!! It runs and drives really nice.
The engine is a AMC 304 V8 that runs strong. When it was rebuilt
they added a mild cam, headers with dual exhaust, Edelbrock
aluminum intake, Edelbrock 4 Barrel carb, HEI ignition, and they
replaced the starter, alternator, and radiator. They also added
power steering and front disc brakes. It has the 727 Automatic
transmission that shifts nice and it has a Locker Floor Shifter. It
is mated to the Dana 20 transfer case and the 4WD works like it
should. The rear axle is a Dana 44 with 3.73 gears and a limited
slip. The front axle is a Dana 30 with 3.73 gears and it has
upgraded warn hubs. They added heavy duty crossover steering which
is a nice upgrade (raises steering fro ground clearance and
steering).. This Jeep also has a nice 4 inch all spring lift to fit
the 33 inch Mud Terrain tires with new black steel wheels.
