Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is pleased to present this 1984 Chevrolet
Corvette. If you're looking for a fun two-seater sports car to
cruise around on the weekend but don't want to break the bank -
this little red Corvette is just what the doctor ordered! This is a
one-owner garage-kept car with a clean CarFax and less than 2K
miles a year put on it - it is turn-key ready to hit the road
today. This C4 appears to still be dressed in its original coat of
Bright Red paint that is driver quality but eye-catching. The front
end features working flip-up headlights with single lights and a
cross-flag badge at the center of the nosecone. Fender vents behind
the front wheels add to the sporty look. 1984 was the first year
for a targa-top Corvette and this one sports a top made of
dark-tinted acrylic. The sides of the car feature dual body-colored
side mirrors and a black body molding strip. The long sloping rear
window glass not only looks stylish, but it also lifts up like a
hatchback to allow access to the rear storage compartment. At the
back of the car is a concave rear clip with signature round
taillights. Like so many Corvettes of this era, the rear clip has
faded and is a slightly different shade of red than the body. A
quick peek underneath reveals a full spare and true dual exhaust
with quad tips. Completing the whole sporty look is a set of
aluminum factory wheels all wrapped in Falken radial tires.
Opening the hood on an '84 Corvette means lifting forward nearly
the entire front end to completely expose the engine and front
suspension components. The engine bay is bone-stock with no visible
modifications. At the heart is a 350ci 5.7-liter Cross-Fire
fuel-injected V-8 that was factory-rated at 205hp. This V-8 is
mated up to a stock 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission
that shifts nicely and smoothly. Other highlights under the hood
include power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes with aluminum
calipers, and cold A/C. As a bonus, this Corvette is outfitted with
the optional Z51 Performance Package. On the road, this Corvette
has tight handling and a solid road feel with enough power to make
for an exhilarating driving experience.
Open the driver's door and the courtesy lights all pop on to
illuminate an OEM red interior. The door panels feature armrests,
courtesy lights, power locks, and (on the driver's side) wiper
controls. The red leather seats are very comfortable, though the
driver's seat is showing wear in the usual places. The driver's
seat is power-adjustable while the passenger seat is manual.
Between the seats is a wide center console with an armrest/storage
box that contains a rear hatch release button and an owner's
manual. Also on the center console are controls for the power
driver's seat, power windows, power mirrors, and a shifter for the
automatic transmission with a leather-wrapped knob. Ahead of the
driver is a black 2-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel on a tilt
and telescopic column. The turn signal stalk offers controls for
the cruise control. The black dash is crack-free and features an
electronic dashboard with a digital liquid crystal display
instrument cluster. In addition to a colorful speedometer and
odometer, there are digital gauges for oil pressure, oil temp,
coolant temp, fuel, mpg, and volts. To the right of the gauge
cluster are manual switches to control these gauge read-outs. The
odometer reads 67,078 miles and the title claims that to be actual.
In the center of the dash, you'll find a stock Delco AM/FM/Cassette
stereo that plays your favorite cruisin' tunes. Beneath the stereo
are the climate controls that crank out cold A/C and hot heat on
demand with a strong fan and also offer a rear defogger. Underfoot
you'll see original red carpet and factory floormats that are still
in good condition. Back behind the seats is a sizeable storage area
with 2 lift-up doors for even more hidden space.
This C4 Corvette is the perfect choice for a "weekend warrior"
sports car - it's quick, fun to drive, good-looking, and loaded
with options and creature comforts! There's nothing like hitting
the road on a sunny day with the top off, radio on, and the breeze
blowing through your hair as you cruise down a winding road! Give
us a call today and be the one to put this cool red Corvette in
your garage!
