No Reserve Classics is proud to present to you our 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Numbers Matching 440 California Original B5 Blue Documented!

In 1970, Dodge produced a total of 46,315 Chargers, with only 10,377 being the high-performance R/T model. This particular Charger represents a rare opportunity to acquire a 2-owner, numbers-matching 1970 Charger R/T, originally from California. The car boasts all-original, rust-free body panels and features factory-original undercoating, preserving its authenticity and original charm. The original 440 engine has been expertly upgraded to a 541 cubic inch Wedge Stroker, offering a true powerhouse experience-an exceptional find for any collector or muscle car enthusiast. The car retains all original metal, original Mopar glass, and factory power steering and brakes.

Under the hood, the iconic original 440 block has been transformed into a 541ci Wedge Stroker motor, producing an astonishing 750 horsepower and 780 lb-ft of torque. Key upgrades include TrickFlow aluminum heads, a custom intake, and Doug's ceramic-coated headers, all designed to maximize airflow and exhaust efficiency for unparalleled performance. To ensure the engine runs at optimal temperatures, it's equipped with a Milodon 7-quart oil pan and an MSD ignition system for smooth, reliable starts every time.

The Bright Blue exterior of this Charger retains its original color, true to its roots. The car has undergone a careful restoration with subtle modern touches, maintaining the aggressive muscle car stance while benefiting from essential performance upgrades. The 2-inch lowered suspension not only enhances the car's handling but gives it a more aggressive, road-hugging appearance. Mopar 15" wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich tires (P265/50R15 front, P295/50R15 rear) provide superior grip and an authentic look. The Wilwood disc brakes at both the front and rear, along with an integrated e-brake system, offer exceptional stopping power.

Inside, the interior remains largely original, with Bright Blue upholstery and gauges preserved, delivering an authentic 1970s experience. The front seats, along with other interior elements, have been carefully maintained. The front seat belts and floor mats have been replaced with period-correct components, and the car retains its factory air conditioning (currently uninstalled), adding a touch of modern comfort while keeping its classic character. The original broadcast sheet is included, further attesting to the car's authenticity.

The underbody of this Charger features a rebuilt A-727B TorqueFlite transmission, strengthened to handle the increased power from the upgraded engine. It's paired with a TCI Super Streetfighter 10" Torque Converter and a B&M SFI Flexplate. The 8.75" (489 Case) rear differential, with a 3.91 gear ratio and the Sure Grip (Posi-Traction) system, ensures smooth and efficient power delivery to the rear wheels. Additionally, the car's suspension has been updated with QA1 adjustable shocks, lowering the ride height by 2 inches. This modification enhances both handling and appearance, providing a dynamic driving experience with exceptional cornering stability.
