Rare 1981 Excalibur Series IV RoadsterThis 1981 Excalibur Series IV
Roadster is a rare and desirable 2-seat model with rumble seat and
one of just 159 Series IV Roadsters produced. Burgundy over tan
with burgundy leather interior that's in very nice original
condition. 305 GM V8 with 3-speed automatic transmission. It runs
and drives great, showing 28k miles on the odometer. Very clean and
solid undercarriage and frame. A very straight, honest, and
original example that's ready for paintwork as it's faded at this
point. The chrome also shows some pitting in a few areas. The
Series IV automobiles debuted in 1980 and were the first Excaliburs
to incorporate glass side windows and a power convertible top for
the Phaeton and Roadster models. An impressive automobile with a
beautifully lined body with electronically foldable rumble seat,
power steering, and power windows. The Series IV was also the first
to receive a full design face lift. The Series IV?s appearance was
attributed to the 500K/540K supercharged Mercedes-Benz of the mid
to late 1930?s. This particular Series IV Roadster represents an
excellent opportunity for any Excalibur collector or enthusiasts.
