Vehicle Description
Commemorating the 30th and final production year of the C4 era, the
1996 Chevrolet Corvette Collector's Edition was distinguished by a
Sebring Silver exterior color, 17-inch ZR-1-style wheels, unique
badges, and embroidered seats. Chevrolet built only 5,412 of them,
in coupes and convertibles, including this beautiful 61,788-mile
example.
Few fourth-generation Corvettes are more desirable than the 1996
Collectors Edition. These final special-edition Corvettes were
built as a send-off to the fourth-generation model. The 1996 LT4
equipped Corvettes were the most powerful, most refined and the
most sought-after model year of the C4 generation, partly because
they were a well-conceived special edition model and partly because
of the LT4 engine that came standard in models equipped with a
6-speed manual transmission.

This Corvette comes equipped with the high-performance LT4 engine
and selective, real-time damping suspension. The LT4 is a heavily
sought-after engine because it features a higher compression ratio
of 10.8:1 and 330 horsepower (both of which were commonly believed
to be understated by GM when the car was first introduced). Most of
the Collectors Edition cars were well equipped with options and
this exceptional example is no exception, featuring power windows,
power seats, air conditioning, tilt steering column, power leather
seats and a Delco/Bose Gold Series AM/FM/cassette/CD player. Still
wearing its believed to be original Sebring Silver Metallic paint
finish applied at the factory, this low-mileage Corvette is a time
capsule of originality. A well-cared for, tight, solid original,
this limited production 1996 Corvette Collectors Edition is a
pleasure to drive. Call today!
