1965 International Harvester S1300 4X4 truck with a metal flatbed. This truck was originally a fire truck, as it was an off-road pumper. I bought the truck about 15 years ago, when I bought it the fire apparatus had been removed, and the flat bed was installed. We used on the farm, and my dad hauled a Farmall Cub to shows on the back. The trucks starts and runs really well it has the original 304 V8 plus everything works good too. The winch, wipers, power steering, brakes, the parking lights are disconnected but the headlights both low and high beam work, brakes lights and all blinkers function as well. The original rearend has been replace with a Dana HD 70 out of a Chevy 1 ton, the IH rearend was roaring and I could not find the parts. I had a local company Hudlow Axle build the new drive shafts and do the gearing. The passenger side window has a small crack, and the door seal rubber is worn, it's the original. I repaired the floorboards as they had some rust in them. The process as follows, I wire brushed the rusted areas then I bulleted the whole area, following that I ground the edges and welded in the new metal. After the welding I re-applied the bullet then used the black shell coating. The red is a coat of just rust-oleum. There is some rust in the cowling as well, but it is not bad. All in all, the old truck is in pretty good shape, I really like the truck, but I cannot park it at my new location. My goal was to build an awesome muscle truck it's a good one the start with.
