1972 OLDSMOBILE HURST 455 RAM AIR, 1 OF 499 HARDTOPS, PACE CAR This
is a great example of a 1972 Hurst Olds! It is finished in a Cameo
White with Gold decals from the factory. It features a white Landau
top, Indy 500 festival, Indianapolis Motor Speedway decals and Ram
Air hood with twin scoops. The front and rear bumpers have been
rechromed. It also features a trumpet style exhaust that runs out
the rear of the car. Looking down both sides of this car it is very
straight. It has newer door seals and weather stripping. It rides
on a set of 14" gold finished stock wheels with 245/60/14 BFG T/A
radial tires. The interior looks to be all original and in great
shape. In between the front bucket seats is its original console
with a Hurst dual gate shifter. Looking forward at the dash there
is a 4-spoke sport steering wheel. The wood grain looks good and
all the lenses are clear. The dash pad, vents, visors and mirror
are all in nice shape as well. There is an official Hurst Indy Pace
Car emblem on the glove box door. Looking into the engine
compartment, it is powered by its number matching 455 ci motor that
has been completely rebuilt. The Ram Air system is complete. It
also features power steering, power front disc brakes and factory
A/C that blows cold. The engine compartment has a satin black
finish. The undercarriage is all clean metal, no patches or
repairs. Looking up at the motor, it is clean as well as the Turbo
400 transmission. It has a 12 bolt rear end and a F41 suspension
which includes: sway bars and rear boxed in control; arms. Overall
the undercarriage is very nice. The trunk is nicely detailed with a
light coat of spatter paint. It includes a trunk mat, spare tire
and jacking assembly. This car is a great conversation starter-
it's super rare, looks great and has some nice features. This car
is not a 10/10 but it is extremely nice inside and out and a great
