This 1944 Willys MB sits tall in Army Green paint with actual
military markings. Found on this exact unit is the rare "Jeep"
casting in the cylinder head, making it historically significant in
Willys production. White star insignia adorns the hood while
military stencil markings decorate the fenders. The exterior
features include factory-installed 16" steel wheels with 6.00-16LT
tires for superior ground clearance. The vehicle comes equipped
with a full array of military-spec grab bars, a functional canvas
top, driver's side mirror, plus a rear-mounted spare tire and
additional fuel canister for extended range operations.
The black vinyl interior follows strict military specifications
from World War II. The bucket seats come wrapped in durable
material built for constant use. A full array of gauges monitor all
vital functions: fuel level, vehicle speed, coolant temperature,
oil pressure, and battery voltage give the operator complete
situational awareness. The floor-mounted shifter provides direct
control of the 3-speed manual transmission, and a standard keyed
ignition system activates all electrical components. Every inch of
this interior was designed for maximum functionality in combat
conditions.
The 134 CI Go-Devil engine gives this Willys MB the true
military-grade performance it was designed for. The 3-speed manual
transmission works in tandem with Dana 23 axles at both front and
rear positions. Solid axle suspension with leaf springs allows for
maximum off-road capability and load-carrying capacity. Four-wheel
drum brakes handle stopping duties across varied terrain types. The
single exhaust system uses an aftermarket muffler for improved
performance. A recently replaced 6-volt battery sits in the left
engine compartment, maintaining the original electrical
specifications while offering improved reliability.
