1952 Studebaker Pickup Truck
This 1952 Studebaker Pickup is beautifully restored and tastefully upgraded, with Silver Pearl metallic paint over solid, straight sheetmetal, a very powerful 289 Studebaker 4 Barrel V-8, 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive, and vintage Air Conditioning that works great! It rolls on brilliant chrome wheels with BF Goodrich T/A Radials, and stops with modern front disc brakes. The 12 volt electrical system has been completely modernized, with all new wiring, Dolphin gauges, electric radiator fan, sealed beam headlamps, and bright LED tail lamps and turn signals. It all works properly, including the electric windshield wipers and the cold air conditioning system with 4 vents.
The interior is lovely, with cloth bucket seats, completely refinished doorpanels and dashboard, sunvisors, and rear view mirror. The original style floormat is recent, and looks great too.
The 289 Studebaker V-8engine delivers a surprising amount of power, and along with the overdrive makes for a capable freeway cruiser. It’s a significant and authentic looking upgrade to the original 6 cylinder the truck was delivered with. The transmission is synchromesh in all 3 forward gears, and the overdrive engages electrically by solenoid when the gas pedal is momentarily released. The undercarriage is clean, with dual exhausts routed through a dual channel muffler.
