This 2002 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax Short Box is a super clean,
lifelong California truck that was owned by 1 family (father &
daughter). This truck has been well cared for and it shows. It has
a great look with a lot of extras. This truck was never used as a
work truck but it was used as a weekend cruiser and vacation
vehicle which is why the miles are lower. The body on this truck is
excellent. The Victory Red paint still looks excellent and appears
to be original with the exception of the hood which was repainted
because of stone chips. All of the original moldings and trim are
original and still really nice. The truck bed was bed-lined when
new and it also has a rubber mat. It also has Bushwacker Power
Running Boards. The underside of this truck is extra clean as you
would expect from a California vehicle. We found no rust issues
with this truck.
The interior is also in excellent condition. The seats, carpet,
headliner, door panels, dash, and dash bezel are all original and
really nice. The headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn
signals are all working. The gauges all work. This truck has tilt
wheel and working cruise control. It has working power windows and
locks, working power mirrors, and working power seats. The horn and
windshield wipers work. The heat and AC are also working. It is
easy to tell this was not a work truck by how nice the interior
is.
Mechanically this truck is top notch!! It starts easy, runs strong,
and drives great! The engine is the 6.6L Duramax LB7 that runs
strong with no issues or red flags that we found. It is totally
stock except for the added 4 Inch Exhaust. It has the Allison 5
Speed Automatic Transmission that shifts nice. It is mated to the
np263 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. The rear axle
is the 10.5 AAM with 3.73 gears and a factory limited slip. The
front is the IFS axle with 3.73 gears. It has a 4 Inch Pro Comp
lift that was professionally installed (6 Inch Lift turned down to
a 4 Inch). This gives it more of a factory ride, allows bigger
wheels and tires, and levels the stance of the truck. This is all
sitting on Dick Cepek Aluminum Wheels with 33 Inch Falken Wildpeak
Mud Terrain tires. This is an awesome truck to use as an everyday
vehicle, tow vehicle, or weekend cruiser.
