Vehicle Description
Zoom Classic Cars is proud to present this beautiful and rare 1993
GMC Typhoon. Third owner of this retro-cool beast that does 0-60 in
5.3 seconds. Squared-frame styling that has become all the rage
again, especially for collectors. Only 1 of 532 produced in the
Frost White/White color combination. Only 2,200 were built in 1993,
which makes this Typhoon quite unique and very collectible. The
ultimate high-performance SUV, that is accident free and in amazing
condition. Factory installed 4.3L PFI Mitsubishi Turbo Charged V6
engine and a Garrett water/air intercooler. If you have been
looking for a 1992-1993 Typhoon, then you have found the nicest one
right here. Never raced, abused or highly modified. The present
owner acquired this Typhoon with 44,663 miles 16 years ago. It
currently has 47,732. It has been babied and meticulously
maintained by an extremely knowledgeable and conscientious owner. A
battery tender has been used to ensure proper startup when the
vehicle is not in use and covered in a climate-controlled garage.
Exterior paint is in amazing condition and there are no signs of
any rust on this Typhoon. O.E.M. stock wheels in great condition.
Also, an O.E.M. cargo net included which is quite rare. The black
leather interior is like new with no tears or rips. I can't say
enough how this Typhoon of 32 years, is in such gorgeous condition.
Although not in concourse condition, it is clearly in excellent
condition and should be compared to the others for sale throughout
the country. All signals and internal controls work fine. There's
even a glove compartment light that works on this Typhoon. This
Typhoon also has a roof rack delete option which adds to its sleek
and sporty appearance. There is artist hand-painted pin striping on
the Typhoon that has been done tastefully and is in excellent
condition with no fading. The artist even initialed the work. The
truck comes with a rear wing that's also in amazing condition. The
transmission was rebuilt in 2014 by Level 10 Performance. The
result is what they call a "Bullet-Proof" transmission. The A/C was
converted and upgraded in 2022 and blows very cold air. In 2008,
the stock DELCO cd/radio was serviced and works great. The previous
owner replaced the stock O.E.M. shock absorbers and upgraded to
Bilstein sport shock absorbers. A Borla stainless steel exhaust was
installed for increased torque and horsepower. Yokohama AVS S4
tires were installed as well as Wagner Xenon Britelite headlamps.
Over $11,000 has been invested by the present owner to properly
maintain this beauty. These expenses can all be documented and
verified, including a new catalytic converter. In full
transparency, the only issue with this Typhoon concerns a CARFAX
report dated 5/10/2000 when the vehicle showed 12,800 miles on the
odometer where a N.A.M. (not actual mileage) title was issued by
the NYMVD to owner #1. The current owner has never had one single
issue with the odometer working properly. Many that we have spoken
to regarding this issue, including mechanics, believe it to be a
clerical issue with the DMV rather than an actual odometer problem.
These kinds of clerical errors happen quite often. If you see and
inspect this vehicle in person, you will know immediately that the
mileage reading is correct and can't be more based on the
condition. The current NJ title is clean and has an "A" next to
mileage which means (actual) mileage. This Typhoon comes complete
with the original Owner's Manual, truck tarp cover, (2) original GM
key and fob sets, and extra set of uncut GM keys, and the original
window sticker! This meticulous Typhoon is rare and needs to be
seen to be appreciated. The condition is amazing as you can see
from the photos. This truck is for the discerning and knowledgeable
buyer who can appreciate its uniqueness and standing amongst other
Typhoons. It's priced very fairly compared to other Typhoons based
on mileage, condition and beauty. To learn more about it and to
