This 1979 Ford F-150 Custom is a really unique, mostly original
truck. The truck spent its life in the Pacific NW so it is solid.
It is pretty unique because it has the 300 Inline 6 Cylinder engine
with a manual transmission. A pretty cool combo. It is a great
running and riving stock truck. The body is clean and straight with
some nice patina. The truck appears to have been repainted quite a
few years ago in the original Light Blue Color. The paint still
looks good and goes with the old school look of this truck. The
underside is original and rot free with only the normal surface
rust you would expect. We found no evidence of rust repair on this
truck.
The interior is mostly original and nice. The seat has been
recovered recently along with a new rubber floor mat. The door
panels, dash, dash bezel, and headliner are original and nice. The
headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals are all
working. The gauges all work. The heater works and the horn and
wind windshield wipers are working.
Mechanically this truck is excellent!! The engine is the original
300 Inline 6 (B Code) that has a fresh tune-up, new thermostat, oil
change, and coolant flush. The engine is totally stock. The
transmission is the np435 4 Speed Manual that shifts great with a
strong clutch. It is mated to the np205 transfer case and the 4WD
works like it should. It has the Ford 9 Inch rear end with 3.50
gears. The front axle is a Dana 44 with 3.50 gears. It is sitting
on aftermarket aluminum wheels with 31 Inch All Terrain tires.
