Vehicle Description
1974 Jensen Healey Convertible - One Doctor-Owned from New!
This 1974 Jensen Healey convertible is a rare and beautifully
preserved example with a single-owner history spanning five
decades. Purchased new at British Motor Car Distributor of San
Francisco while its original owner was in medical school, this
British roadster has been cherished and well cared for from day
one. In 1977, the doctor relocated to Dallas, Texas, bringing the
car with him, and a decade later, he moved to Indianapolis, where
it remained garage-kept and rust-free ever since.
With 92,000 actual miles, this Jensen Healey has never been raced
or tracked, but its owner made thoughtful upgrades to enhance
safety and performance. Recognizing the importance of protection in
an open-top sports car, he installed a roll bar, along with Corbeau
racing seats and three-point racing seat belts to provide extra
security. To improve the car's drivability and reliability, he also
fitted Weber carburetors, a more efficient radiator, and an Earl's
oil cooler with braided Earl's lines-all carefully chosen
enhancements to ensure smooth, reliable performance.
Retaining its factory soft convertible top and rare factory
fiberglass hardtop, this Jensen Healey offers the versatility to
enjoy top-down cruising or a more enclosed driving experience. The
one expertly repainted finish in its original red maintains the
car's classic British charm, making it a true standout. Now sitting
on a fresh set of Kumho radial tires, it runs and drives just as a
proper Jensen Healey should-smooth, responsive, and full of
character.
If you're looking for a well-documented, exceptionally maintained
example of this rare British roadster, this is it. Don't miss your
chance to own a piece of sports car history with an incredible
one-owner story.
