Vehicle Description
1929 Ford Roadster Pickup
The Model T proved to be one of the most successful mass produced
vehicles and when 1927 arrived Ford needed to continue that legacy.
He did this with the Model A and by February of 1929 1 million
units had been sold. If that doesn't impress and show their
popularity then how about the fact it would only take 5 short
months for that number to double to an astounding 2 million units.
These cars would later go on to be one of the "go-to" classics for
the hotrodding and custom car world. This nice Model A is the
Roadster Pick Up body style and has been turned into a very cool
old school hot rod. The body of this '29 is all steel except for
the doors, running boards, and fenders which are fiberglass. In the
rear the fenders have been widened 3 inches to give it more of an
aggressive exterior. It is painted in a Hot Rod Black satin
urethane which works well with the overall look. The fiberglass
lift off top on it looks good and has a plexiglass rear window. Up
front the glass windshield is in good shape and the windshield
itself has been chopped 2 inches. The truck has a nice stance and
sits on like new Billet Specialties wheels with BF Goodrich radial
tires. Should you want a less custom look you also have the option
to have those swapped out with a set of Red steel wheels.
The car was set up to be a good driver with shop truck vibes. It
accomplishes that with a 350 Chevy V8 (4 bolt main) that runs
great. It features finned valve covers, a chrome air cleaner,
Edelbrock intake, new mini starter, hi temp super stock wires and a
Holley 600cfm carburetor. It sounds good too with headers into
brand new exhaust that exits out of the rear. Mated to the motor is
a newly rebuilt 350 automatic transmission with a new torque
converter sending power back to a rebuilt Ford 8 inch rear end. The
truck features disc brakes up front with drums in rear which slow
it to a stop nicely. The suspension on it was all well built using
coil over shocks, a 4 inch dropped Superbell front axle with
transverse spring and Curtis front control rods. It runs down the
road well and you can hop in and cruise anywhere.
The interior is complete in Red vinyl combined with Black carpet.
It has a nice bench seat in place with matching Red lap belts. On
the floor you will note a brand new shifter along side the handle
for an emergency brake. The dash is nicely painted Red to match the
upholstery and topped with aftermarket gauges and LED light
indicators. In front of the driver sits a tilt steering column with
working turn signal lever topped off with a nice 3 spoke wood grain
steering wheel. The bed is nicely painted and is where you will
find the gas cap and the relocated battery.
Are you looking for a cool hot rod that won't break the bank? Well
you just found it.
Take it home for only $19,000.00!
