1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL with the rare 390 "P"-code Police Interceptor V-8 engine and drive train. This high performance setup was available in civilian Galaxie vehicles as well as police cars. Most everything on the P-Code cars was to 427 specifications including HD suspension, larger brakes, 15" wheels, factory exhaust headers, and solid lifters. This beautiful black sport coupe was sold new in Gadsden, Alabama and has reportedly been in the southeast part of the US since new, and, while in North Carolina, it received a frame-off restoration. According to the previous owner, the miles are actual at 51,791 but will be sold exempt because of the age. In addition to the XL Bucket seat and console package the original buyer ordered the 4-Speed manual transmission, rocker panel moldings, front & rear bumper guards, Ford-script floor mats, dual o/s mirrors, AM radio, and door edge guards.
Car has a straight body and the Raven Black paint is gorgeous, interior is as new as is the trunk area. Car starts, hits a great lick, runs and drives very well. The engine compartment is detailed so you can open the hood at car shows.
We sold this car a little over a year ago, and with all of the quality cars we sell, I told the buyer we would buy it back when he was finished playing. He called and said he had Corvette fever so we were happy to buy this beauty back and offer it for immediate acquisition.
