Vehicle Description
Few cars in the history of the autoverse have the power to elicit a
visceral response from non-enthusiast passers-by. Typically
reserved for Italian exotics and hypercars, only a handful of
vehicles can turn heads and quicken heart rates just by the mere
sight of them. All it takes is one look at this first-generation
1993 Dodge Viper, and it's easy to see that this swoopy, low-slung
domestic supercar is on that very elite shortlist. With just 32,147
actual miles on its odometer, this Viper Red comes with its
removable targa top and windows that will be included in the
sale.
Inside, this venomous vehicle proudly shows off its Spartan ethos.
Grey leather interior, a trick set of racy white-faced gauges, a
three-spoke airbag-less steering wheel, and an AM/FM cassette
player that plays through big central speakers mounted between the
supportive bucket seats. Though currently not functioning, this car
is set up for air conditioning, one of the few optional features
available for this no-frills Neo-Cobra.
Under that massive front-hinged clamshell hood, we find an equally
massive 8.0-liter overhead valve V-10 engine. Originally making 400
horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque from the factory, this
particular Viper ups that ante with a set of aftermarket cat-less
longtube headers that lead to those incredible throwback side
pipes. That big block power is funneled through a Tremec T56
six-speed manual transmission before being sent out to the stock
Viper rear end fitted with 3.07 rear gears that transfer that
plethora of ponies to a set of 14-spoke 19-inch aftermarket wheels
shod in 325/30R-19 Hankook Ventus rubber while a set of 275/30R-19
handles steering duties up front.

When it debuted, this 1993 Dodge Viper could sprint from 0-60 mph
in a scant 4.5 seconds and rip through the quarter mile in 12.6
seconds at 114 mph on its way to a top speed of 165 mph. Riding on
a fully independent suspension, this wicked whip sports coilovers
at all four corners. If you are like so many of us who can't help
but instinctively react to the visual drama of a first-gen Viper
like this one, don't wait another second to follow that gut
reaction. Call today!
