Time capsule! 307 actual miles survivor! Fully documented by the
original order form, window sticker, manuals, and Carfax etc.
Totally authentic, I purchased it from the second owner that I have
known for a long time and was partners at Ramsey Ford in Virginia
which sold the truck new. He of course purchased it from the
original owner that is a friend of his and he has known about this
truck it's entire life. All original except tires, battery and a
few maintenance items. Very desirable short bed, black with red
interior and full of options. Absolutely the best in existence!
EXTERIOR: Exceptional! 100% original body that is straight as an
arrow. No garage dings or scrapes. The factory gaps are right on
the money, the doors close easily. This truck was properly stored
inside and there is absolutely zero rust anywhere. Amazingly it is
still wearing its factory applied Raven Black paint and it looks
incredible considering it's 40 years old. Only very minor flaws you
would need to look for. The brushed aluminum and red reflective
tailgate panel is in unbelievable original shape, the taillights
are not faded or cracked. The Ford spotlight, bed rails, and hood
ornament were added by the first owner. The weatherstrips and seals
are still soft. The rub strips on the bumpers are not even scraped.
It has the optional bumper guards on the front bumper and optional
step on the rear, both of which are in great shape. All the bright
work is original and still looks practically new. It is rolling on
steel rims with upgraded wheel covers wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial
T/A tires that were likely installed in the 1990's. The original
Ford Deluxe wheel covers are included.
INTERIOR: Astonishing! The door jambs and latches are pristine and
the weatherstrips are mint. The immaculate deluxe door panels are
clad in red velour and equipped with power window and power lock
switches. The entire dash area is mint with no cracks or damage
noted. It has the factory optional digital clock and an am/fm
stereo as well. The cigarette lighter and ashtray have never been
used. The matching red velour deluxe bench seat still looks fresh.
The seatbelts look virtually unused. The deluxe steering wheel does
not show any wear at all. It also has a nice set of Ford rubber
floor mats and all the interior lights are all working. I don't
think anyone can find a fault with this interior!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Marvelous! The optional 351 cubic inch (5.8
liter) high output 4 barrel V8 is in all original condition and
it's excellent. All the hoses, clamps, and wires etcetera look to
be untouched. The retractable hood lamp is really handy and was
part of the optional light group. The original jack is still in
place. The Motorcraft battery has of course been replaced but is
properly secured. It was upgraded to a newer Freon in 2006.
Everything looks great! It's equipped with air conditioning, power
steering, and power brakes. Factory inspection markings and tags
are abundant everywhere. Very original, correct, and complete!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Wonderful! All original paint on the backside of
the tailgate and inside the bed. It comes with the factory optional
rubber mat that has kept the bed in pristine condition since new.
Under the mat is all spotless, solid, and rust-free metal.
UNDERSIDE: Sensational! I'm amazed by the tremendous original
condition of this truck. Due to the low miles and proper storage
everything looks fantastic. Factory dual exhaust and disc brakes up
front. This modern-day classic also has the optional ride and
handling package. Looking up at the engine it is really clean and
also has the heavy duty C6 automatic transmission attached to it.
The floorboards and frame both have nice original paint. It also
has the short 117" wheelbase which is extremely desirable.
SERVICE: We ran this truck through our shop and replaced a turn
signal bulb and repaired the light under the hood.
CONCLUSION: Amazing! This truck has it all; the options, the low
miles, and the documentation. Its impeccable original condition
will leave you speechless. Try finding one with better originality
and lower miles, I dare you!
