1964 Malibu SS. I uploaded a few videos to try to disclose as many details and info as possible.
Currently a 327 but originally built third week of November 1963 before 327 was available, so not a numbers matching car. Factory four speed. This car had a frame off done back in 1997 and was finished in I believe 2001. It’s a blast to drive, a great cruiser and is by no means perfect. I have had probably ten of these and am very picky on what I buy, body being the main focus. This body is great, trunk is great, floors are great, rides great especially for how low it sits. 275 rear tires on 17” Americans, I believe it has been mini-tubbed (unless somebody else can confirm a 275 can go on a 64 without) and 17” Americans up front with disc brakes. If there was a mini tub done, you can’t tell by looking at the wheel wells in the trunk!
This car is in great condition. The body is fantastic. The paint is older but still looks great… and even with a areas where the paint is showing its age on the hood, trunk and a couple other small areas around the car, this car turns heads and gets trophies at local cruise nights. *** I am over-disclosing the normal wear and tear on the paint just to make sure nobody thinks the paint is perfect*** but it looks great - it's simply just not "perfect."
Assuming factory rear gears as I’m running at about 3k rpm at 73 mph on the freeway. Does not get hot, has a great aluminum radiator. Wiring is stock and probably will want to redo that at some point.
This is a very solid car to own and cruise as is, or a great candidate to blow apart and clean up if you want a really nice show car.
Located in Yorba Linda CA. $39,500.
