This 1973 Pontiac Firebird Esprit was owned by the previous owner
since 1990 and has spent most of its life in Arizona and Colorado.
Of the 17,249 Firebird Esprit models produced in 1973, this one
stands out for its excellent condition and tasteful upgrades. This
car has a super straight body with a superb paint job. The interior
is in excellent shape and features a high end Dakota Digital dash.
The front seats have been reupholstered to the original factory
look with high quality materials. The dashboard is in excellent
condition with no cracks.
Engine and Performance:
The car is powered by a Pontiac 468 stroker V8. This was achieved
by using a Pontiac 400 block with a Eagle 455 crankshaft. It also
includes SKP pistons, heavy-duty rods, Edelbrock aluminum Performer
heads (72cc valve), Comp cam and lifters, mid-rise manifold, and a
Edelbrock AVS carburetor. The ignition is powered by an HEI GM
distributor. This engine runs very strong and sounds awesome
through the dual exhaust system with headers.
Suspension and Brakes:
The front features a Baer Brake Kit with slotted, drilled, and
zinc-coated rotors. Riding on adjustable coilovers. The rear brakes
are disc brakes housed in a Moser 12-bolt rear-end housing. All
pads and rotors are in good condition.
Transmission:
This Firebird is equipped with a B&M Street/Strip
Turbo-Hydramatic 400 (3-speed) transmission, featuring a deep dish
pan, an external cooler, and a 1,800 RPM stall speed torque
converter.
