This is a legit numbers matching SS 427 that has been body off frame restored to factory specs! They started with a clean rust-free California car with just over 50,000 actual miles. All the components were intact right down to the smog equipment 52,357 actual miles. We have a photo album showing before and during restoration. It's original California "black plate" is still with the car. It scored 995 points at a Late Great Chevy Show. This is in my top 3 favorite cars we have. I appreciate the unmolested quality, the features, the rarity and it's a good looking car!

EXTERIOR: California born and raised rust free metal. This full-size muscle car looks fast with its sleek fastback design. It is laser straight and the panels fit precisely. All the chrome and trim are straight and sparkles like jewelry. I especially love the 427 cross flags on the fenders and the grilles on the hood that are unique to the SS 427. The factory Bolero Red color is laid out and polished like glass. The windshield and all the seals were replaced. The vinyl top looks new. 15 inch wheels were also a part of the SS 427, they are new looking rallys wrapped in reproduction redline tires.

INTERIOR: Outstanding from carpet to headliner! It was completely gutted and put back together to look and function as it did on day one! All the soft items like the upholstery, door panels, carpet, headliner, visors etc. are in excellent shape. The fit and function is also impressive. All the bits and pieces: knobs, dash pad, glove box liner, heater controls look great as well. The original 4-speed console is looking really good and has the correct reverse lock out shifter. There are some really great features including the rally dash with a tachometer, gauges, and clock. That multiplex 8-track stereo is rare and actually functions. It also has a deluxe wheel with reproduction floor mats on the floor as well.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The heartbeat is strong in this Chevy! It has it's original "born with" 427-385hp big block with original components: manifolds, heads, and even the alternator and distributor! Being a California car, it has smog equipment which is also original to this car, not reproduction. Options include power steering and brakes. All the finishes are proper and look amazing. It has reproduction hoses and clamps, spring clamp cables, hood insulation etc.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: This trunk is huge; a full-size spare doesn't take up any space at all! Under the trunk lid and jamb are painted slick. It has reproduction stickers, weatherstrip, mat and a working light. The spare matches the wheels: 15 inch restored rally with reproduction redline tires. The jack assembly is complete too.

UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame, every component was disassembled and restored like new underneath! All of the steering and suspension was completely rebuilt. It even has correct spiral shocks. The brake system was completely restored. It has disc in front. The hoses, lines and e-brake cables were replaced. Completely replaced fuel system including lines and tank. Reproduction dual exhaust system. Looking up at the motor you will see spotless Chevy Orange, the correct starter and canister type oil filter. A little further back you will find it's original Muncie 4-speed trans. A restored drive shaft complete with assembly line markings connects to the original 12 bolt rear end with 3.55 posi gears. The trans and rear are correctly dated and coded. There's no rust under this car, the floors and braces are spotless. The frame and chassis components are smooth, and it has all been neatly painted semi-gloss black.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to work it. This is so we can sell you the best cars reasonably possible.

We really got this one dialed in! We changed the antifreeze and replaced the radiator cap. We replaced valve cover gaskets, glovebox lamp assembly, rubber tips on visors, speakers, steering gearbox and power steering fluid, battery hold down, hood springs and master cylinder. We also rebuilt the shift linkage, fixed horn, fixed trunk light, fixed 8-track player, refastened brake light switch and adjusted the wing window.

I am being straight up, believe me or not. I've been around buying and selling the nicest cars for decades. This SS-427 is exceptional. When you start with a clean and complete car to do a full restoration on, it is going to turn out much better than one that has been used and abused. It is unique and desirable. Worthy of the most elite muscle collection or if it's going to be your only collector car it's one to be proud of!
