For Sale: 1970 Dodge Challenger in Indianapolis, Indiana

Vehicle Description

1970 Dodge Challenger Convertible – Stunning EB5 Blue Fire Metallic with 340ci 4-bbl Power

If you didn’t find what you were looking for at Mecum last month, here is a chance to acquire a classic Mopar convertible in one of the most popular color combinatins. An iconic American muscle car that combines power, style, and rarity, this 1970 Dodge Challenger Convertible is the perfect addition to your collection. Finished in Bright Blue Metallic (EB5) with a white convertible top and white Bumble Bee tail stripe (V3W, V9W), this classic Challenger turns heads wherever it goes.

Powerful 340 V8 Engine & Performance Package

Under the hood, this Challenger is equipped with the legendary 340 cubic inch V8 (E55), producing 275 horsepower through a Heavy Duty Automatic Transmission (D32). This car also includes the factory A66 Challenger 340 Performance Package. The 1970 Dodge Challenger A66 package was a performance upgrade that included the 340 cubic inch V8 engine, heavy-duty suspension and brakes, and a R/T-style hood. It was similar to the R/T model, but without the R/T badging. Note that I added the R/T badging after the recent touch-up repaint. The A66 package added extra performance features like the dual-scoop performance hood from the R/T model, improved suspension and handling, and a 26-inch radiator. The dual exhaust (N41) with chrome tips (N42) that were part of the A66 package delivers the unmistakable muscle car sound that enthusiasts crave. Headers were added by the previous owner to bump up the horsepower even more. The A66 package was first offered in late September 1969 and it was not highly advertised, so very few examples were sold, making the A66 package an uncommon choice, adding to the desirability of this Challenger.

Classic Muscle Car Styling & Interior Features

Step inside, and you'll find a well-preserved interior featuring blue high-trim vinyl bucket seats (H6B6), a center console with a woodgrain panel (C16), and full door panels (000) that enhance the car’s vintage appeal. The interior has been restored with a new dash pad, new seat covers and new carpet. The driver gets the convenience of a left-hand remote racing mirror (G33), and the car is equipped with the rare factory air conditioning (H51) in a convertible.

Convertible Enjoyment with Power Top

Nothing beats cruising in a classic muscle car with the top down, and this Challenger makes it easy with a power-operated convertible top (P37). The white top beautifully contrasts with the blue body, giving it an unmistakable look that stands out from the crowd.
