1975 Porsche 914. *1975 Porche 914. 1.8L Fuel Injected Manual I
Purchased the car in June, 2017 * Since then I have had to do very
little:Replaced the fuel filter, installed a front hood logo, Had
it tuned and brakes adjusted, heat shielded the starter, installed
LED dash lights (Blue) / New stereo (but the original Blaupunk
comes with it.) Had installed a starter button to left side of
dashboard. Changed the battery. Had an oil change, Car runs
amazingly and has been kept in a garage, rubbed with a diaper and
driven aprox. 1,000 miles per year at the most. Car shows, trips to
the beach, winding mountain roads, etc... What it needs: Probably a
new coat of paint at some point, Fan / Heater is not working, latch
for front targa on drivers side. August 2011 The car was purchased
by an amazing 914 enthusiast. The following is the work he did to
the car. This man is a meticulous car guy, the real deal! *
September 2011 to July 2013 - Cleaned the interior, front and rear
trunk. - Removed fuel tank and cleaned - Removed some floor sound
deadening tar - Reconditioned pedal assembly ( but did not replace
bushings since after cleaning and applying oil, all pedal move
smoothly) - Replaced fuel hoses under fuel tank and along engine
bay - Replaced vacuum hoses - Installed new battery - Changed
engine oil and filter - Replaced transmission fluid (80w90 Castrol)
- Replaced most of the transmission linkage bushings - Replaced
spark plugs - Fixed some more vacuum leak (elbow rubber along AAR)
- Manually rubbed the entire exterior with sand paper and rubbing
compound polished it. - Started driving the car regularly while
doing or fixing things - Replaced tires with used 185x65 tires on
riviera wheels. - Replaced damaged original muffler with
aftermarket muffler to the original pipe and deleted the Catalytic
pipe. * August 2013: - Removed original tunnel fuel lines and
replaced it with SS Fuel Tunnel lines and SS Fuel engine lines
(from Robert 'Rotary914') - Changed oil - Replaced upper and lower
fuel injector seals * September 2013: - Replaced clutch and
accelerator cables (from GPR Parts) - Removed side rocker panel
cover and cleaned the outside long. Minimal dirt. - Brought the car
to car detailing for interior shampoo and exterior detailing. -
Fixed clutch tube along rear firewall. Installed additional metal
bracket, welded and apply POR 15. * March 2014: - Removed original
75 Heat exchanger and installed used SS Heat exchanger from my 74
1.8FI project car. - Installed used Monza 4 tip muffler - Replaced
the 75 black bucket seat including floor mats. - Replaced monza 4
tip muffler to glasspak muffler. Sounds soooo sweet. - Replaced
damaged transmission mount to 911 sports transmission mount.
