An American classic elevated to the next level with exciting Shelby
features! Aside from looking great you are going to love driving it
with the performance 302 and a manual 5-speed. Power steering and
power disc brakes make it easy peasy!
EXTERIOR: Great looking fastback design made even better with
Shelby features! The body is clean and straight and has a Shelby
style scoop on the hood. Painted signature Shelby colors: Wimbledon
White with Guardsman Blue over the top racing stripes from front
valance to rear valance. The paint has a smooth and glossy finish.
Finished off with GT 350 side stripe decals. The chrome,
weatherstrips and windshield have been replaced. It is sitting on a
good looking set of 10 spoke Shelby style wheels. Other Shelby
features include the bullet mirror, GT 350 emblem on the tailpanel
and the black grille.
INTERIOR: It's a nostalgic and sporty interior! The bucket seats
have the deluxe pony upholstery and the back seat folds into a
sport deck. Everything is in excellent shape too. Down on the floor
is fresh carpet with reproduction mats and seatbelts. Above is a
fresh headliner and visors. In front of you is a restored dash area
with a custom set of gauges and a beautiful Shelby style steering
wheel. The best part is the Hurst 5-speed sticking out of the
floor!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Upgraded with a 302 making around 300hp! It's
upgraded with a performance cam, aluminum intake, Edelbrock carbs
with electric choke, billet distributor with electronic ignition
and a set of stainless headers. It's dressed with the high
performance open element air cleaner and Cobra finned valve covers.
The chrome Monte Carlo bar looks sharp and improves the car's
handling. Two very nice upgrades includes the power brakes with a
dual reservoir master cylinder and Borgeson power steering. The
aluminum water pump and radiator keeps it running cool. Everything
looks clean and proper. The engine bay is smooth metal, neatly
painted.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is very tidy. Under the trunk lid, the jamb
and inside are all painted white. It has reproduction weatherstrip,
trunk mat and cover over the spare tire.
UNDERSIDE: The front end steering and suspension is completely
rebuilt. In back it has Koni gas shocks. The fuel tank and sending
unit were replaced. It has a custom exhaust with glass pack
mufflers and the tailpipes are in front of each tire like the
Shelby's races with. The brakes are in excellent working condition
with disc in front and a functional e-brake. Looking up at the
motor it has a polished finned aluminum oil pan and a chrome high
torque starter. It's been upgraded with a Tremec 5-speed manual
which makes for a lot of fun. The underbody is restored very
nicely.
SERVICE: After we performed our thorough inspection we replaced the
speedometer
I recently witnessed a genuine 65 Shelby sell near the 1 million
dollar mark. This one looks the same and you can drive it! Mustangs
are easy to maintain, parts are readily available and so are the
buyers if you ever decide to let her go. I think it's a no
brainer.
