Unmolested Condition300 TDI Diesel EngineSourced from a Dry
ClimateShown here is a Defender 90 factory-built 300TDI sourced
from Erice, Italy. Erice is located in the super hot and dry
climate of Sicily. A 1996 model year that was built in Solihull, UK
on Wednesday, December 20, 1995 and shipped to Italy. Sold new in
Sicily on January 25, 1996. We purchased this Defender from Sicily
in late 2024 form a Signora Morsello and imported it to the United
States. The Defender is shown in Land Rover factory-built color of
Monda Red (Paint Code LRC590) with a Alpine White (Paint Code
LRC456) roof and color matched Alpine White wheels. The Defender
had a complete high quality respray completed by previous ownership
in Italy. The 16' 5-spoke color matched steel wheels were utilized
from a Discovery I (part number NTC5193) and give this Rover a
proper look. We mounted a set of 235/85R16 Cooper Discoverer All
Terrain tires on the steel wheels which is our favorite tire size
to run on the Defenders. A great stance and size tire that allows
the vehicle to perform on and off the road.We received this
Defender in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. The
previous owner took excellent care of this Defender. The paint
shows well and undercarriage is exceptional clean due to being
sourced from a dry climate. Car Cave clocked about 300 test drive
miles all with a smile on our face. This Defender runs smooth,
turbo spools nicely, drives down the road well, and shifts great.
We did a complete mechanical review in our shop totaling about
$6000 to make sure this Defender is ready for its next adventure.
Service included valve cover gasket, adjusting the valves, oil pan
gasket, brass coolant plug, oil change, oil filter, water pump,
washer fluid bottle grommets, crank case breather, serpentine belt,
HD steering arms, alignment, wiper blades, wheels, tires, coin
tray, shift knobs, and a multi-stage paint detail. Contact us to
review the service history. The Monda Red looks great against the
contrasting roof and wheels, black grill and headlamp finishers.
The exterior has a clean traditional unmolested appearance. Don't
worry, if you want it modified, we can handle that too! Interior
seating is finished in a rugged, stain and water proof dark grey
vinyl with front bucket seats and rear benches. A total seating
capacity of 6 with seat belts included in the rear. A front cubby
box (center console) is accented in black vinyl. The interior
finishes are clean and tidy and show well.Walking around the
exterior you will see fold down side and rear steps which stay
clean thanks to the mudflaps. The steps make for ease of entry on
all doors. In the rear cargo load space area you will find 2 fold
up bench seats for hauling people or gear. The floors inside are
protect by fitted front rubber mats and a cargo load space mat in
the rear. Upgraded alloy shift knobs fell great when rowing through
the gears.Factory built with the highly sought after solid and
reliable 300TDI 2.5L Turbo Diesel engine and R380 5 Speed manual
transmission. The 300TDI diesel engine runs properly and 5-Speed
manual transmission shifts correctly through the gears. The engine
was a factory built 16L model without an EGR. The lack of the EGR
keeps the Defender running better with a slight bit more
power.Upgrades and Features:LT230 2 Speed Transfer BoxLocking
