This week Canyon State Classics has the honor of bringing to market
a 1951 Ford Deluxe coupe in great condition inside and out! This
Ford comes equipped with the iconic flathead V8 that is the
beneficiary of twin Offenhauser carbs and a 3-on-the-tree! This old
Deluxe has been treated to front disc brakes and some recent
suspension upgrades. She needs nothing to start being enjoyed at
the shows or on the road and this Ford drives as good as it looks!
The car has come to us recently out of an amazing long-term
ownership!
The following is a list of equipment on the 1951 Ford Deluxe
Coupe:
The exterior on the 51 Ford has been refinished in Black and is in
great condition. The paint is 30+ years old and does show some
small cracks and bubbles in a few spots, but we just completed a 20
hour color correction and detail on the car so she is looking the
best she has in over 2 decades. The fenders are all arrow straight
and all body lines are correct. The underside of the car is
excellent with no rust or prior floor pan repairs. The chrome is
very nice original with the expected few small dings or blemishes,
but over all is gorgeous for original condition. The car is riding
on nice wide whitewalls with the dog dish hubcaps.
The interior is in great shape all around. The grey and black
interior is also showing very well for its 30 plus year old age.
The Art Deco styling and bakelite knobs and dials are all in
outstanding shape. The dash and door panels look like new. Amazing
how well it has been kept as well as restored where needed.
Mechanically, this Ford runs great. The motor provides ample power
to move the car around comfortably and the 3 speed manual shifts as
it should. Clutch engages confidently. The front end work and disc
brake conversion make this car enjoyable for a myriad of uses from
car shows to running errands. The car starts right up and runs so
quiet its hard to tell its running. The car was checked front to
back and starts up like a top, and stops the way it should. This
car is ready to cruise!
All in all, this is one very clean and very respectable '51 Ford.
This car is a great example of a solid car which has been well
taken care of and is a car you can be proud to drive. These 50's
era cars are becoming harder to find as well preserved examples
such as this one. Plus you cant deny the cool history this car
brings to the table as well! Please email or call with any
questions and we can help with shipping quotes and arrangements. We
also welcome International buyers. Any further questions please
call Jon at 480-703-2337. The car is located in Sunny Mesa,
Arizona.
