Timeless classic! This red '57 Bel Air has received a detailed body
off frame rotisserie restoration and is ready for a new caretaker.
With an impressive list of factory features and some very nice
modern upgrades you will be cruising with unprecedented style and
comfort!
EXTERIOR: All the paint was applied with expert detail and polished
out very nice and smooth; literally like red glass. All the body
panels are lined up with great precision and have gaps that are
flush, square and right on the money. The chrome, trim pieces and
of course the little rockets on the hood are extra exceptional and
just glisten in the lights. The front grille is in remarkable
condition plus it has the correct T3 headlights and gold anodized
emblem on the hood. All the glass has been replaced with new rubber
seals and fuzzy strips too. It even has the optional reverse
lights. Making it look current is a new set of chrome American
Racing Torque Thrust II wheels that are 18" in front and 20" in the
back. They are wrapped in performance tires that sit perfectly in
the wheel wells with the tastefully lowered suspension.
INTERIOR: Rotisserie restoration, and they took it all apart! The
jambs are painted real slick, weatherstrips were replaced and the
sill plates are new. Complete reproduction interior with the very
attractive two-tone black cloth and red vinyl upholstery.
Everything looks completely new including the handles, levers and
chrome etc. All the metal inside is painted glossy and still has
the original style gauges that have been replaced. The dash trim is
all new and the climate controls were upgraded to electric while
keeping the original look. Original style a/c vents were even
installed. It has the original style Wonderbar radio and clock on
the passenger side. The kick panels, carpeting and floor mats are
all brand new. The seats are beautifully reupholstered, recushioned
and complete with seatbelts front and back. The rear shelf has been
replaced and all the chrome has been redone. The headliner is tight
as a drum and the dome light is working. The sun visors were
replaced and the day/night rear view mirror looks like new. The
steering wheel and shifter are in excellent condition. This is an
exceptional car!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is a stock, fully restored engine
compartment with a few very nice upgrades. It has an upgraded power
brake system with a dual reservoir master cylinder. It's also been
upgraded with a modern air conditioning system. A clutch fan and
electric fan ensure the motor runs cool. Its the correct FC power
pack engine which is a 283 making 220 horsepower. It features a
four barrel carburetor, all stock manifolds, Chevrolet script valve
covers, and carburetor with the glass fuel filter bowl. Some
factory options include power steering and electric wipers. It's
obvious this engine compartment has been totally apart and properly
restored. All the metal finishes are painted smooth and everything
is installed properly.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the lid and jamb are painted
nice just like the body. The weatherstrip was replaced. Inside is
all clean metal that is pristine and solid and painted body color
as well. It comes with a full size spare tire, restored jack
assembly and reproduction rubber trunk mat. Clean and complete!
UNDERSIDE: Not only was the body taken off the frame but it was
then put on a rotisserie. The floors, braces, rockers are all clean
metal sprayed in the correct red oxide primer then also given a
clear coat for durability. The entire frame and chassis components
were prepped and painted in a semi gloss black. All of the
suspension and steering has been rebuilt. It has lowering springs
in front and lowering blocks in back. The entire fuel system was
replaced including the tank. It has a very neatly installed dual
exhaust system. Completely rebuilt brake system. Replaced lines and
hoses, working e-brake and upgraded with disc in the front. Looking
up at the motor it is spotless Chevy Orange with the correct
canister type oil filter. The Powerglide automatic transmission has
been restored. The rear end has also been serviced.
SERVICE: Our shop manager thoroughly inspected this car, and we
charged the air conditioning, installed some cotter pins, lubed the
window tracks, replaced the hood springs, repaired the brakes,
fixed a weak vacuum source and replaced the right muffler.
The top-quality frame off rotisserie restoration checks all the
boxes! Whether you are a seasoned collector or just getting started
in the hobby, this classic will certainly impress!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights.
Our cars are displayed within a museum setting. If you are
interested in a specific vehicle, please schedule an appointment
with a salesperson to view it. Without an appointment, there is an
admission fee to enter the showroom. If you decide to purchase a
car, your admission will be refunded, and you'll receive a one-year
museum membership.
