All this gold makes me think investment grade! This classic has
received a detailed body off frame restoration. It also has a super
rare original #'s matching 396 engine and is optioned out really
well; it even has power windows. When gold speaks, every tongue is
silent; this El Camino says it all!
EXTERIOR: Striking! The Granada Gold paint shimmers in our showroom
lights. The metal flake is nicely laid out and looks great. It is
smooth to the touch and has a reflective finish although there are
a few flaws. Looking down the side of the body it is nice and
straight with smooth contours and crips lines. All the panels are
wonderfully aligned with good consistent gaps. The doors close
easily with minimal effort. I love the SS hood with dual bulges and
chrome inserts. All the glass is crystal clear and like new with
fresh rubber seals and fuzzy strips too. The front grille is in
fantastic shape. The bumpers have been rechromed and the remaining
bright work is all straight with a glorious shine. The taillights
and bezels both look like good originals. It's sitting on a set of
reproduction rally wheels with chrome center caps and rings. They
are wrapped in beefy BFG Radial T/A tires.
INTERIOR: Gold will never get old! I'm absolutely in love with the
colors and the options too! Power windows on an El Camino, plus a
Blinker tachometer, bucket seats, and a center console, it has it
all. Everything is in beautiful shape too, fully repainted,
reupholstered and refinished to a very nice quality. The headliner,
sun visors, dash pad and carpeting have all been replaced and look
amazing. It has the Delco am radio and original climate controls as
well. The gauges are pristine and the blinker tach is a very cool
quirky option. There is a full-size spare tire located behind the
passenger seat with a nice gold vinyl cover. The dome light, glove
box light and clock in the console are all working also.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: A heart of gold! #'s matching 396, the same
motor as an SS Chevelle! What a rarity for a '67 El Camino! It
looks like it would have in 1967. The manifolds, air cleaner, valve
covers, pulleys, components are stock. It has reproduction hoses,
clamps, dated plug wires and the brake booster is cadmium plated.
The engine has been rebuilt and looks fantastic. It is nicely
dressed, the chrome air cleaner and valve covers were replaced. All
the hoses, wires and belts were replaced. It's equipped with power
steering and power brakes. The battery is properly secured and the
squirters are hooked up. The original cowl tag is still in place.
Under the hood is complete with insulation and painted satin black
just like the fender wells and firewall.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The back side of the tailgate and jamb are
painted just like the exterior. Inside is all clean metal that has
been painted Granada Gold. There are a few spots with bubbles under
the paint but no rust present.
UNDERSIDE: Frame off restoration! The underside is fully restored
and looks tremendous. Very nice front end suspension and the
steering looks like it's been completely rebuilt and upgraded with
a Hotchkiss sway bar. In back the shocks have been replaced. The
fuel system has been replaced including the tank. It has a nicely
installed dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The brakes
have been restored with disc in the front and the e-brake is hooked
up. All the lines and hoses were replaced. Looking up at the motor
it is clean Chevy Orange with the correct starter and canister oil
filter. It has the correct turbo 400 automatic trans. The tag
riveted to the side says 1967 but has been restored and looks
clean. Out back is a 12 bolt rear end with nice highway gears. The
floors appear to be very solid clean metal, they were prepped and
painted satin black
SERVICE: We ran this through our shop and replaced the carburetor,
repaired the wiper wiring and lubed the speedo cable.
