Vehicle Description
If you happened to be one of the few automotive enthusiasts who
feels like the already-powerful 650 hp sixth-gen ZL1 was somehow
just not powerful enough, we'd like to introduce you to this insane
2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Redline Motorsports edition. Sporting
just 4,659 actual miles on its odometer, this car's original and
aptly named Caught Me Red Handed exterior paint still looks as
stunning as the day it rolled off the assembly line.
Inside, the ZL1's relatively luxurious (by muscle car standards)
interior remains mostly intact. Heated power front seats, power
locks, mirrors, and windows highlight the black leather and suede
surfaces. A heads-up display allows you to keep your eye on the
undoubtedly fast-moving road out front, while a seven-inch Holley
EFI Pro Dash adds another digital display to monitor all of this
Camaro's vital functions.
This ZL1 takes things to another level under the hood. Built by
Redline Motorsports and Howard Tanner Racing, the blown LT4 V-8 has
been stroked to a 427ci and upgraded with a Magnuson 2650
supercharger ported by Jokerz Performance. Darton-sleeved and
equipped with Manely Forged pistons, connecting rods, and wet-sump
crank, this engine has as stout a foundation as any gearhead could
hope for. A custom Redline Phase 6 0.675-inch lift, 238/248
duration hydraulic roller cam operates CID-ported LME race cylinder
heads and features titanium intake and Inconel exhaust valves. The
result of this crazy build is a dyno-proven 1,095 horsepower and
925 pound-feet of torque, which allows this ZL1 to trap a
frightening 8.388-second quarter-mile at 160.92 mph, making this
beast the 12th fastest six-gen Camaro on record (as of this
writing), according to the consignor.

This 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Redline Motorsports edition has far
too many upgrades to list them all within this limited space. But
it is worth noting that all of that massive power is routed through
an RPM-built TH400 three-speed automatic transmission designed to
withstand 1,500 RWHP. A 10-inch RPM stall converter, M&M air
shifter, trans brake, and rear-mounted electric transmission cooler
round out the gear selection upgrades, while a Ford 9-inch
conversion housing 3.50 rear gears receives those ponies via a
one-piece aluminum driveshaft.
Menscer four-way adjustable shocks sit at all four corners and work
in conjunction with a full BMR suspension to keep the five-spoke
Weld wheels shod in race-level rubber planted to the tarmac. A
rear-seat-delete, RPM six-point roll cage with swing-outs, and a
Motion Raceworks parachute system round out this prodigious
package. If you want a sixth-gen Camaro that will simply embarrass
99% of cars on the road, don't wait another second because, as its
