This 1996 Jeep Cherokee Classic is a really nice and very clean low
mileage truck that spent its life in the State of New Mexico and
Alaska. It is a 2 Owner Jeep. Initially he towed the vehicle behind
his Motorhome for a few years before leaving it in New Mexico where
he wintered. It spent most of its life in New Mexico which is why
it is so clean. The miles are original and the miles with the
engine running are lower because it was towed some. The body is
clean and straight. The Moss Green Pearl paint appears to be
original and it is still in nice shape. It does have some minor
scuffs and paint chips from driving over the years but is is pretty
cool that it is original paint. The underside of this Cherokee
Classic is really clean and we found no rust issues with this
vehicle.
The interior is original and in excellent condition. The seats,
carpet, headliner, door panels, dash, and dash bezel are original
and still in excellent condition. The headlights, taillights,
brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work.
This truck has tilt wheel and working cruise control. The power
windows and power locks work. The horn and windshield wipers work.
The heat an AC work.
Mechanically this Jeep is top notch. It runs and drives excellent.
The engine is the original 4.0L Inline 6 that runs strong and
smooth with no issues or red flags that we found. It has the 42RE
Automatic Transmission that shifts nice and it is mated to the
np231 transfer case. The 4WD works like it should. It has the
Chrysler 8.25 rear axle with 3.55 gears and the front axle is the
Dana 30 with 3.55 gears. It is sitting on the original aluminum
rims that are still in great condition with 225/70/15 All Terrain
Tires.
