Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition for sale in our Mesa, Arizona
showroom. The 1982 Collector Edition was the first Corvette with a
hatchback rear window, foreshadowing the C4 Corvette. A special
color scheme was used inside and out, and Collector Edition badges
were featured. The special, exclusive aluminum wheels were designed
to look like the optional bolt-on wheels of the 1967 model. The
Collector Edition had a "0" in the sixth digit of the VIN rather
than the "8" found on standard Corvettes. Only 6,759 were produced
out of a 1982 total production of 25,407.
The interior is finished in multitone Silver Beige leather and is
joined by matching door panels. Interior amenities include a
power-adjustable driver's seat, AM/FM/cassette stereo, CB radio,
cruise control, tilt steering column, power windows, and AC. The
three-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel frames an 85-mph
speedometer and a 7,000 RPM tachometer. The gauges for coolant
temp, oil temp, oil pressure, battery volts, and fuel level are in
the center stack. The odometer shows 20,333 miles.
The Corvette is finished in Silver Beige Metallic (59L) with fading
shadow on the hood, fenders, and doors. Exterior equipment includes
removable glass T-tops, pop-up headlights, fender air vents, sport
mirrors, side marker lights and quad taillights. The paint shows
beautifully throughout the vehicle. The 15" turbine aluminum wheels
are mounted to Goodyear Eagle GT tires wearing P255/60R15's.
Braking is handled by four-wheel power assisted discs.
The 350ci L83 V8 features Cross-Fire Injection and was
factory-rated at 200 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque. Power is
sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission
and a positraction differential. The CarFax report shows no
accidents or damage reported. It will be sold on a clean Arizona
title.
