Here is something you see every day! This is a 1990 Nissan Pao. These cars were announced at the Tokyo Motor Show in late 1987. These were part of Nissan's "Pike" series and was marketed as a retro car for getting around town. The design uses many elements from a variety of early popular cars from the past. exterior door hinges like classic minis, Flap up windows like a Citroen 2CV. In fact everywhere you look at this car, you'll see something reminiscent of various popular cars of the past. These cars were only produced for 3 years 1989, 1990 and 1991 with a total of 31,352 built. Only available in Japan when new, a few examples have made their way to the states. Such is the case for our 1990 pictured here. This car live a very pampered life in Japan until 2022 when the previous owner went over to inspect the car and brought it back with him. The odometer shows about 144,000 Km which is about 88,000 miles. When we say this car lived a pampered life, it shows in it's present condition. Still wearing all of it's original Aqua Gray paint and still looks absolutely right next to perfect. This car has the very desirable cloth top that opens and closes perfectly, and is a 5-speed manual transmission. Never wrecked or damaged and everything works as it should.
