BOOKS/MANUALS, PROTECT-O-PLATE, BROCHURESFULLY INSPECTED, SERVICED
& DETAILED Handsomely restyled for 1965, the new Cadillac model
lineup ushered in a new era by discarding the luxury marque?s dated
tailfins for smart, blade-type rear fenders and clean bodylines.
Greater interior space came with a new perimeter-frame chassis,
allowing forward placement of the famed Cadillac V-8 engine by six
inches. Describing the new '65 models, Motor Trend magazine
declared the new Cadillac styling theme as a design statement of
pure, understated elegance "laid out with an architect?s
precision." Changes for 1966 were few but continued Cadillac's
tradition for careful evolution and refinement. The 1966 models
were the best-selling in Cadillac's history. In particular, the
Sixty Special Fleetwood Brougham bridged the gap between the Series
62 and DeVille lines and the Series 75 limousine. Featuring a
longer-wheelbase chassis and available with the high-end Brougham
trim level that was introduced in 1965, the Sixty Special models
expanded Cadillac's model range and proved very successful. A
fabulous offering in exceptionally original condition with under
31k miles, this 1966 Cadillac Sixty Special Fleetwood Brougham
celebrates Cadillac's high-end models of the era. Sold new by Criss
Cadillac Company Inc. of Rhode Island, this beautifully preserved
and presented example is offered in virtually as-new condition,
retaining the original Sable Black paint finish and original
patterned Beige cloth interior, which shows little, if any, wear at
all. Ample power is delivered by Cadillac's renowned 429 CI V-8
engine, factory-rated at 340 horsepower, paired with a 3-speed GM
Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. Passenger amenities
include power windows and factory air conditioning. The spectacular
interior features beautifully preserved wood grain trim, plus
lighted rear folding picnic tables, footrests, and grab handles.
Excellent documentation includes an original owner's manual, the
Criss Cadillac-issued Protect-O-Plate and warranty booklet, and
factory literature. Proper steel wheels mount full wheel covers and
whitewall tires. Decorated with the AACA Senior Preservation of
Historic Features award, this American luxury icon is offered with
full inspection, service and detailing, making it ready to collect,
show and enjoy as desired. If you are seeking an exceptionally
well-presented and preserved example of Cadillac greatness, this
1966 Sixty Special Brougham offers you an unparalleled opportunity
to enjoy the mystique. Surely, it will be a strong contender at
further judged shows, including Cadillac-LaSalle Club events.
