This is my little toy. I’ve had it for twelve years. Bought it in Tacoma and shipped it to Anchorage. I drove it from Anchorage to Homer and kept it in my garage. It can do over 60 mph going downhill. It gets lots of attention with waves and smiles, especially in parades. I have done some restoration since I bought it. The first thing I repaired was the lights and the light switch knob. I followed that with a repair to the “trafficator” (blinkers). The heater wasn’t working and that was repaired as well. It took some time to find the chrome fender script, and a replacement window crank. It has a modern oil filter and I’ve added a modern air filter. The water pump broke and got replaced. I’ve kept the broken water pump and oil bath air filter just because original parts are still worth something. Recently, I serviced the brakes and noticed that the speedometer had quit working. I now can stop having no seat belts without knowing how fast I was driving. It has become apparent to me that this little car belongs with someone younger and I hope to find it a new home.
