Known for its high-revving engine and lightweight chassis, it represents the absolute pinnacle of the sixth-generation Honda Civic line. Because many were modified or abused, finding a clean, stock example today has turned this former budget hero into a highly valuable modern classic.What Makes It Special- The VTEC "Kick": The B16A2 engine features variable valve timing. Below 6,000 RPM, it drives like a sensible commuter car. Once you cross the 6,000 RPM VTEC threshold, the engine note changes drastically and the car rushes to its 8,000 RPM redline.- Upgraded Underpinnings: Compared to standard Civics, the Si received a stiffer sport suspension, progressive-rate springs, a front strut tower brace, and upgraded front/rear anti-roll bars.
