This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air rolled out of a meticulous two-year
restoration in 2018, accumulating only 683 miles since completion.
The Colonial Cream exterior amplifies classic American styling
through gold-plated Bel Air trim and matching grille. American
Racing wheels - 18-inch front and 20-inch rear - fill the fenders
with Falken tires (225/50R18 front, 245/40R20 rear). Custom
modifications include tri-bar headlights and a cleanly integrated
rear bumper plate mount.
The cabin features a cream interior highlighted by black cloth
inserts across the vinyl seats and door panels. Classic Instruments
digital gauges monitor the speedometer, oil pressure, voltage,
fuel, and temperature. The period-correct AM/FM/AUX stereo brings
modern audio capabilities, while power steering and R134a air
conditioning enhance the drive. A chrome floor shifter crowned with
a white knob controls gear selection.
A Chevrolet 350 cubic inch small-block V8 produces strong output
through an Edelbrock intake manifold and 4-barrel carburetor. The
motor works through a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission to a GM
dropout rear end with 3.55 gears. Stainless steel headers with
X-pipe crossover and MagnaFlow exhaust create an authoritative
tone. The aluminum radiator manages temperature while chrome
alternator and finned aluminum valve covers add visual appeal.
