The 1968 Plymouth GTX Convertible is a classic muscle car, one of
the most iconic and sought-after vehicles from the late '60s. It
was part of Plymouth's muscle car lineup and was essentially a
high-performance version of the Belvedere, with a focus on power
and performance.
Here are some key details about the 1968 Plymouth GTX
Convertible:
Engine Options: The 1968 GTX came with a variety of engine
options, including the 440 cubic inch V8 (producing 375 horsepower)
as the standard engine, and the optional 426 Hemi V8 (producing 425
horsepower) for those looking for even more power. The 440 was
particularly popular, offering a strong balance between performance
and drivability.
Transmission: It was available with either a 4-speed manual
transmission or a 3-speed automatic.
Performance: The GTX was built for performance, with features
like heavy-duty suspension, dual exhaust, and performance brakes.
This helped it compete with other muscle cars of the era, like the
Chevy Chevelle SS and the Ford Mustang GT.
Styling: The 1968 model had a more refined design compared to its
predecessor, featuring a new front grille and slightly restyled
rear end. The GTX badge was prominently displayed, signaling its
high-performance pedigree.
Production Numbers: Only 1,026 convertible models were produced
in 1968, making the 1968 Plymouth GTX Convertible a rare and
valuable collector's car today.

Everything on the car works as it should and runs and drives
fantastic. The paint is nice with a mirror like reflection and all
of the chrome, trim and bright work glisten in the sun! The
interior appears to be original and is in fantastic condition. The
engine compartment is highly detailed and shows extremely well. The
