-Regency Red with Biscuit, tan carpets with Black overmats, Black
convertible top, 5.3 Liter V12 engine, 4-speed gearbox, 40,000
Original miles, Superb condition, Long term collector ownership,
Excellent provenance.
Although early history is unknown, this V12 Roadster has been cared
for and cherished from new. Many late Series 3 E-Types were
produced with the automatic transmission, but this example was
factory built with the 4-speed manual gearbox as desired by many
E-Type enthusiasts.
This V12 Roadster was purchased by its most recent owner many years
ago and from, well-known and respected Jaguar enthusiast dealer,
Tom Rossiter - The Stable, Mendham, New Jersey. As per the previous
owner, "actually I have known Tom since 1978, when I bought some
spats to go on my XK120 I was restoring at the time." The Stable
have been well-known and respected for their superb and
well-documented and serviced automobile inventory since first
opening their doors in 1973.
Further ownership history as stated by its previous owner, "I had
Don Moore in Connecticut put up-graded brakes (Wildwood on front
and XJS on rear) on the 74 for me. Don also removed and redid the
heads, upper gaskets, and carbs. She runs great!"
Recently traded to Autosport Designs, Inc. toward a 1967 Series 1
E-type Roadster for all the right reasons, another quote "having
had a black over biscuit 64 in my misspent youth, I am drawn to
this car" and so a fair trade was made, the Series 1 found a new
Jaguar enthusiast collector home and this V12 Roadster has become
part of the Autosport Designs automotive orphanage and is now
seeking a new home.
As one of the last of the breed, this Series 3 E-Type presents in
excellent condition in all areas, cosmetically, mechanically and
structurally and is ready for immediate use and enjoyment.
