Vehicle Description
1923 Ford T-Bucket Custom Roadster
The T-Bucket name originated in the 50's after being applied to the
custom car named "Lightning Bug" which was later known as the
"Kookie Kar" when it appeared on television. The name was created
due to the craze of extensively modifying the Model T by hot
rodders and greasers back in the day. While these cars are fairly
common nowadays not all are created equal. This car was originally
built by a custom builder, Scott Silva, but has since been entirely
redone again in recent years so it is a fresh build. Over 600 hours
of work was put into creating the custom fiberglass body that is
extremely unique. One look at the shape of the rear and you will
see why this T-Bucket stands out above the rest. That body has been
entirely repainted in a gloss Black with with fine metal flake that
really pops when you get it out in the sun. The body sits on a
custom Total Performance chassis that has been fully powder coated
in Silver. Up front the car has a '32 grill shell with a chrome
grill which combined with the body lines gives the car a profile
that walks the line between a Model T and the iconic '32 Ford. The
electrical is all working properly and it has LED taillights
mounted in chrome bezels. The car rides on a set of 20 American
Racing wheels in back with 12 spoke front wheels and also comes
with a set of Budnik rear wheels with new Mickey Thompson
tires.
When you are running a car with no hood it becomes pretty important
to have the motor looking good. Well this one does not disappoint
with a professionally built 350 crate motor. Not only that but when
you are sporting those wide rear tires you better be able to turn
them. Rated at around 480 hp this car has no problem accomplishing
that task. It features aluminum heads, a polished aluminum
Edelbrock intake, 750 cfm carburetor, Pertronix distributor and
custom Red accented valve covers. To match that and tie in a bit
more Red the firewall has been nicely painted. Cooling is provided
by the 4 core Walker radiator with electric fans and it also has a
transmission cooler. Paired with the motor is a Turbo 400 with a
3200 stall converter to send power back to the Currie 9 inch Ford
rear with 3:73 gears and 32 spline axles. The car sounds great and
you can tell it means business with polished out Sanderson side
pipes. Other nice mechanical features include the 4 wheel Wilwood
disc brakes, 6 inch Bell drop axle, and chrome adjustable rear coil
overs.
The interior is all custom Black upholstery done in a pleated style
with nice Red stitching. It has a Lokar shifter that is mounted to
the floor where there is nice Black carpeting. The dash is topped
with aftermarket Omega Kustom Instrument gauges and it has a
satellite driven speedometer that operates off a sensor mounted
near the rear deck. The steering wheel is custom from Budnik and is
removable to help make it easier to enter/exit the vehicle. In back
the car does have a trunk where you will find the gas cap, battery,
and cut off switch.
This is such a nicely built T-Bucket that is ready to go. If you
are out searching for one of these there is no doubt that it is
going to be tough getting this one off your mind.
This is one awesome car being offered up at the very reasonable
$28,500.00!
