The Mustang was introduced in the 60's and set off the wave of
muscle cars that were soon to be introduced by every automobile
manufacturer. They were the namesake of the "pony car" segment and
is currently the longest produced Ford nameplate. In 2005 the 5th
generation was released and Mustang again was a leader of the pack
bringing in the retro styling of their late 60's fastback and
eventually others would follow suit with their versions of their
retro inspired modern muscle cars. This 2007 GT belongs to that 5th
generation and is one awesome machine. It has had a ton of major
improvements and is one of the nicest 2007s on the road. It is a 3
owner car but was only owned by the 2nd owner for a short period of
time. It has been a Texas car since new and has 11,486 miles on it
since restored. It is painted in White and various areas like the
hood have been repainted. It is in remarkably good condition and
has clearly been well taken care of. It has some very nice exterior
extras like the Cobra rear spoiler, Cobra front valance,
aftermarket fog lights, rear window louvers, and the shaker hood
scoop. The glass is in good condition throughout and is nicely
tinted. The car rides on a set of 20 inch Cragar SS wheels with
Michelin tires that look perfect on the car.
It isn't all about looks because where the fun really begins is
under the hood. The car is powered by a 4.6L motor that has been
entirely rebuilt from top to bottom. It wasn't just rebuilt though
because a ton of upgrades were incorporate and believe us, this
thing is quick. It has Mother Thumper cams, a new timing chain &
gears, long tube headers, larger injectors, Spectre cool air intake
w/K&N filter, and large mass air flow system. At the time of
the rebuild the AC system, cooling system, electrical, brakes, etc
were all entirely gone through. It has a brand new fuse box harness
and everything on it works. The brakes are new CCP 4 wheel power 11
inch discs with drilled rotors. The suspension features Koni struts
in front/rear as well as larger than stock rear control arms and
larger front/rear sway bars. The car runs great and really is a
blast to drive. It has a 5 speed transmission and a posi rear end
with 3:73 gears so it is quick but still comfortable on the
highway.
The interior is in excellent condition which shows how well the car
has been cared for since new. It is done in Black leather and the
upholstery all looks great. The rear seat has been deleted,
sticking with the vintage Shelby muscle car theme, but it does come
with the car. The rest of the interior is mostly stock but does
have some other nice additions like the GT floor mats, GT console
lid and the Hurst short throw shifter. The trunk of the car is
nicely carpeted and has the rear spreader bar for more
stability.
This is a super nice example of one of these Mustangs and has a ton
of upgrades really setting it apart from the rest. It looks great,
is quick, and is super fun to drive. Even better is the asking
price because it is being offered up at a fraction of what it cost
to turn it into what it is today.
You could have one of the coolest GTs out there for only
$14,750.00!
